Hi, my name is Rita, based in Budapest, Hungary, an adventurous traveller and hiker who devours books and loves to build texture and splash colour on canvases.

My paintings explore the space between what we see and what we feel.
I often begin with familiar elements — water, horizons, light, landscapes or glimpses of urban life — and gradually transform them into more intuitive and emotional spaces. I am interested in the moment when reality begins to dissolve into memory, sensation and imagination.
Color, texture and movement are central to my process. I allow the painting to evolve through experimentation, often leaving room for unexpected marks and discoveries. Sometimes the painting seems to develop its own presence and begin to communicate something I had not consciously intended.
Rather than offering a fixed interpretation, I invite the viewer to bring their own memories, emotions and associations into the work. Ultimately, I am interested in the relationship between the painting and the person looking at it.
Perhaps the most important question for me is not simply what we see, but how we look.

Hello, Rita vagyok absztrakt festő Budapestről, aki az alkotás mellett imád utazni, túrázni, és olvasni. 

Kíváncsiságom folyamatos kísérletezésre sarkall, szeretek elveszni a textúrákban, színekben és figyelni, hogyan tudok egy vásznat életre kelteni, mely bevonz.

Festményeim a látottak és az érzéseink közötti teret kutatják. Szeretek az absztrakció és a felismerhető világ határán mozogni, többnyire egy külső látványból indulok el, de közben valami belső, érzelmi dolgot keresek. Sokszor hagyom, hogy a festmény kísérletezés útján fejlődjön, néha úgy tűnik, a festmény létrehozzza a saját önnön jelenlétét, és valami olyasmit kommunikál, amit nem szándékoztam tudatosan.
Ahelyett, hogy egy fix értelmezést kínálnék, arra kérem a nézőt, hogy hozza be saját emlékeit, érzelmeit és asszociációit a műbe. 
Talán a legfontosabb kérdés számomra nem egyszerűen az, hogy mit látunk, hanem az, hogy hogyan nézünk és milyen kapcsolat jön létre a festmény és a szemlélő személy között.
